“Ia bukan Datuk Seri Anwar.

Dr M book puts Anwar’s credibility at stake

By Shannon Teoh and Clara Chooi

KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 — Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s latest claims of sexual misconduct by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his memoirs has forced Pakatan Rakyat (PR) into a “perception war” over the latter’s credibility as prime minister-in-waiting.

PR leaders said they have their work cut out to negate the former prime minister’s accusations in his autobiography that hit bookshelves this week.

In it, he wrote that Anwar had propositioned four girls for sex and not denied accusations of sodomy before being sacked as deputy prime minister in 1998.

Still licking its wounds from the twin defeats in Merlimau and Kerdau on Sunday by increased majorities, PR now has to reckon with the influential former prime minister’s efforts to “hammer in another nail in the coffin” of the opposition pact.

Anwar asked four girls for sex, says Dr M

By Shannon Teoh

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad wrote in his autobiography out today that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arranged to have sex with four girls before he was sacked as deputy prime minister in 1998.

The former prime minister said he interviewed the girls who told him they were taken to have sex with his then deputy, who was later charged and jailed for sodomy and corruption.

Dr Mahathir wrote that they were persuaded to do so by an Indian man they knew as Nalla, likely to be Datuk K.S. Nallakarupan, then a close associate of Anwar who has since fallen out with the opposition leader.

“He had taken each girl separately to a house in Kenny Hills. There they met a person they recognised as the deputy prime minister. They were asked to undress with the purpose of having sex,” he wrote in the book titled “A Doctor in the House: The Memoirs of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad”.

Police may reopen case into Korean actress' suicide.

The Korean police are determining if they should reopen investigations into the case of actress Jang Ja-yeon's suicide, after broadcaster SBS made her posthumous letters public on Sunday.

In over 50 letters, Jang alleged that she was made to offer sexual favours to prominent figures within the industry, as well as to heads and officials of private and media enterprises.

The rookie actress, who was 30 when she hanged herself in March 2009, accused her agent of forcing her to have sex with 31 people over 100 times.
