Chinese mistresses jump into the river for BMW

Beijing (China Daily/ANN) - Two 25-year-old women who shared the affections of the same man in Jinan, Shandong province, China, jumped into the Yellow River in the hope of snagging a BMW.

The pair were both mistresses of a man surnamed Wang, who had separately promised to buy each of them a BMW car.

When the two women ran into each other on Jan 3, they began to quarrel about the car. One of them said she would do anything for Wang and jumped into the Yellow River to show she meant it. Not to be outdone, the second one followed suit.

A passer-by surnamed Mi saw the two women, one of whom had cut her leg on an icicle, and pulled them from the river before calling their lover.

Wang, a construction supplier from the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, arrived at the scene with his wife, who denounced the two women and told her husband to return the BMW to her.

An anonymous party reported the ensuing row to the police, who recorded the incident, and Wang paid Mi for rescuing the women from the river.

Antara EPL Asian Cup dan Malaysian Open

Hari Ahad begini adalah hari santai. Jadi memang aku melepak je kat umah. Malas nak kemana-mana. Nak keluar pakai duit faham-faham jelah. Jadi cara terbaik adalah lepak kat umah. SAFE hehe

Jadi bila cerita melepak kat umah bermakna melepak depan TV. Aku semestinya channel sukan. Bayangkan TV hanya satu.

Nak gaduh pun malas bab-bab TV ni. Selalunya aku jerlah yang mengalah. The best place Kedai Mamak Tapi bila dah lepak kedai mamak tak kan kita nak duduk seharian yer tak. Jadi kedai mamak depan rumah aku dah jadi pot. Siang malam pagi petang aku datang hehehe. Nak buat camner berebut channel.

Jadi penyelesaian terbaik adalah beli TV satu lagi. Kecik tapi Ok buat aku sorang.

Jumpa lagi!

Blogger Pun Boleh Kaya

Lepas order roti aku pun belek2 paper.

That good.

Begitulah kalau kita tahu macam mana nak buat duit.

Apa pun tahniah buat blogger Red Mummy atas kejayaan anda. Hidup blogger!

Samsung says it isn't charging carriers for Android updates, promises Galaxy S status report

Buying a Samsung Galaxy S sounded like a fantastic decision when Android 2.1 was hot stuff, but now that Gingerbread's out of the oven, Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant and Epic 4G owners are starting to get a little tired of being stuck behind the curve. And while we can think of at least one fairly nasty reason why Samsung might be delaying, we've been hearing all sorts of conspiracy theories, ranging from holding back Froyo to sell more dedicated Gingerbread phones to making the cellular carriers foot the bill for Android updates for every handset sold or else not get the update at all.

Well, it seems that last rumor's gained a little traction, because Samsung's taken it upon itself to squash the story flat. The company gave Phone Scoop the following statement: "No. Samsung is not charging carriers for Froyo updates to Galaxy S. We hope to have more detail on status shortly. Promise!" At this rate, we're wondering if Samsung should just skip Froyo and just start rolling out some Gingerbread men instead.

Malaysians in Brisbane on edge as floods worsen

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians in Brisbane are on edge as floods continue to worsen in various parts of the city.

Professor Rusdin Laiman of Queensland University of Technology had to leave his home and seek refuge with a fellow Malaysian, who is staying on higher ground in Highgate after his home in Toowong was almost completely submerged in water.

He said the power supply to the Central Business District has been shut off and all roads closed.

“It is devastating, the university is closed, offices are closed, and the situation is expected to get worse.

“There are many Malaysians here who had to leave their homes to live with friends or go to evacuation centres because many suburbs here are flooded,” he said in a telephone interview on Wednesday.

Griffith University student Lidiana Rosli who lives in Robertson says that the town is on standby for evacuation.

Ted Williams Golden Voice Homeless Man

Ted Williams, a homeless man with a radio voice to die for, is getting a flood of work offers a couple of days after a video of him shot by the Columbus Dispatch became a hit on YouTube.

The viral video shows Williams panhandling along a Hudson Street ramp near I-71 in Columbus, Ohio, while holding a handwritten sign that tells about his “God-given” voice. Williams says in the video that he is a former radio announcer who lost everything because of drugs and alcohol. He, however, says that he has been sober for two years.

In the video, Williams speaks with a smooth, baritone voice as he delivers lines such as “When you’re listening to nothing but the best of oldies, you’re listening to Magic 98.9!” Williams’ voice betrays his bedraggled look, but it sure made people notice as the video quickly became an Internet sensation with more than 4 million views to date.

As the video became viral, so was the job offers, with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the NFL reportedly among those interested to hire Williams, who has also secured appearances on several television shows.
